Finding Christ

Reaching New Heights is a Sunday school program that looks at God's word from a slightly different perspective, with the hopes of reaching a broader audience. Just as Christ instructed his disciples, "...and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." (Acts 1:8). Sometimes that requires a slightly different approach than normal. And thus, Reaching New Heights was born.

This year's series is entitled, "Finding Christ in Pop Culture." The five-part series, which meets the first Sunday of each month, beginning in January 2012, will look at American popular culture in an attempt to find hidden messages of Christ. Whether it be a rather well-known amusement park character, french fries, cell phones, superheroes or 3D, American pop culture offers countless opportunities to find Christ and his on-going message of salvation. So, mark your calendars, invite a friend, and enjoy the journey.
